Hi! I'm Debby Van Enkenvoort and I'll be your host this week. It's always so much fun picking a theme for this group because we have so many wonderful entries and so many talented photographers. I can't wait to see what you come up with for this one. Happy hunting!
Steve Winwood and Traffic were the inspiration for this week's theme" Shoot Out At the Fantasy Factory". This is the title to one of his albums (1973). I'd like to see photo subjects that you consider to be wildly (mildly, even) creative. All three of my photos are about street art.
My first photo is of a wall mural at Coney Island,NY. The painting is by identical twin brothers Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo from São Paulo, Brazil. The painting is badly in need of repairs. The mural was painted in 2005 and is 60 ft long.
This next photo is a mural in the DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan and Brooklyn Overpass) section of Brooklyn.
This last mural of famous musicians, is by Rico Fonseca. Greenwich Village, NY
Hi Debby !! Thanks for hosting this week!! I think the title might confuse a few folks, so I've put a bit of a clarification on my post (sometimes folks take a quick look and take their cue from the title). I really like it though, gives a chance for something a bit different. I hope folks get in the spirit of it :-))
ReplyDeleteNY has to be one of the best places in the world for street-art. You captured three beautiful examples. If I had to choose a favourite, I think I'd go for the first one. There's just something about the design and colours that appeal to me.
I need to go to New York and soon!! These are three magnificent pictures and I can't choose a favorite. I would stand in front of them for hours.
ReplyDeletethis is so wonderful love yours
ReplyDeletewow those are cool.
ReplyDeleteAll clearly depict where the wings of fantasy can take one to... Awesome shots!

ReplyDeleteSee you a bit later.
Hugs
NY invented street art and you have three good examples. Those people are real artists. Really good works worth a photo.
