Mitch, you chose an excellent color. It is a wonderful color and the world abounds in its different shades. The British Isles are renown for this color. I think about your author Richard Llewellyn, who wrote How Green Was My Valley. I put together a sample of my images with green. I overdid it by adding one more.
I was driving on this road and passed this beautiful property that was landscaped with this footbridge going over this stream.
Here is a photo of the Amalfi Coast. We were on a boat on our way to Capri. The hillside was terraced with groves of lemon trees.
There is a quiet little spot in our town that I like to visit. There was a mill built years ago. The stonework can be seen in this photo.
I pulled away from nature to show this building on Walnut Street in Philadelphia.
Hi Robert!! You've posted some great shots for this theme!! I did a double-take when looking at the first shot, because it looks so much like a place near where I live here in Wales, called Colby Woodland Gardens. There are several bridges like that. Beautiful shot of the terraced hillsides above the Amalfi coast. Love that shot of the stream with the remains of the mill. Again, that could have been taken here in Wales. Interesting green building in your bonus shot.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mitch. The first shot was taken here in Connecticut and so was the shot of the stream. Actually, it's named the Muddy River.
ReplyDeleteSerene. Majestic. Playground of the Neireids. Classic facade.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anders.
Deletelovely especially the last one great building
ReplyDeleteI loved the architecture of that building.
Deletehi rob, lovely shot. being Italian I prefer the second one, lol
ReplyDeleteWhen I view this photo I think about limoncello. Grazie.
DeleteBeautiful photos. I particularly like the Amalfi coast. Memories of a holiday in the area about 43 years ago. A very soothing bridge over calm water and the remains of the mill on the stream are a very good catch.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pat. I'm glad this reminded you of a holiday. I scene at the stream with the mill is a tranquill setting.
DeletePretty little footbridge. I've always had a fondness for them!
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the Amalfi Coast is spectacular!!!
I love the mill stream photo, too. Reminds me of a place that I like to hike in Georgia called Cochran's Mill.
I like the building, shot...is it trimmed in gold?
Thanks Debby for your comments. I don't know if the building is trimmed in gold.
DeleteHi, Robert, four nice 'greens'. My favourite is the footbridge...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Belita. I admired the landscape with the footbridge.
DeleteLovely shots of green and I especially like the second one. It has a timeless quality to it and almost could have been shot 2 millennia ago.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Benni for your comment. That image does seem to have a timeless quality.
