The city of Wilmington, NC is also known as "The Port City"
The town of Oak Island was formerly two towns. Both of which were devastated in a hurricane, therefore (for economic reasons) the two small towns joined together to become one.

I love the middle photograph, maybe my favorite, simply beautiful with sea, sand, grass and houses. Interesting history, too. And finally, a lovely country road, very nicely done.
