Picture This ~ City, Town, Countryside
Fun Theme this week, and I am going to make it early too. WOW!
Starting out with a shot of Seattle from the water. This was two shots put together. I added the round shape so it would look a bit like a fish eye lens or a very wide angle lens.
This next one for town, I added a sixties vintage look. That small town 4 of july celebration look.
For Country, I will use the cows feeding on the pumpkins. It says country to me anyway.
Fabulous pictures, as always, Randall. I really do like the rounded shape of the Seattle skyline. Very creative in the middle, it could be a picture from my childhood. That's terrific. My favorite is the cows eating the pumpkins; the black and orange contrast is striking. It is also a very peaceful and unique photograph. Thanks for joining in.
ReplyDeleteVery cool editing of the shot
ReplyDeleteTerrific
"Mmmh, good stuff!"
Hi Randall !! Great shots for Benni's theme!! Fabulous vista of the Seattle skyline, great editing!! Nice sepia-ageing you've added to the second shot, too....definately looks 1960's. Are they Halloween cows in the last shot? LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh I love those shots. The first is really an impressive view of Seattle. the vintage look suits the photo and the third, am almost speechless. You feed your cows on pumpkins? Must suggest that to our local farmers, but not sure if it will work. At the moment they just eat plain old boring grass. But it makes a great picture.
ReplyDeleteThe milk makes better pumpkin pies. LOL
Deletefab shots of Seattle. I love the editing on the first and the
ReplyDeleteantique look of the second.
There is nothing more country then cows eating pumpkins.
I have never seen cows eating pumpkins, there must have been a surplus! That is a shot I would hang on the wall :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the vintage editing on the middle photo and the fisheye effect on the top one. Awesome editing!
It was like a party for them. Loving each bite. Moooo~!
ReplyDeletewell done well done
ReplyDeleteLove the fish eye effect of the first. Were you using a pano setting and just putting together the two shot instead of three. I have a setting for panorama shots but I've never tried it. Mainly because my tripod is too heavy to lug around.
ReplyDeleteI like the vintage look to your parade shot. It sort of looks like an old yellowed newspaper photo.
oh, love that last shot. I didn't know cows would eat pumpkins. I didn't know dogs would either, but gave our Jack Russell canned pumpkin that last time he was sick with an upset stomach as it helps them "bulk up". He really liked the pumpkin.
I took the shots from the ferry so they were not perfectly still shots to start with. THen used the software to put them together. I had three shots, all of them with a piece of the puzzle. Then Used the freehand to adjust the height to get it to look like that. A pull here a push there. Glad you like it.
Deleteenjoyed them all
ReplyDeleteFantastic shots! The first is my favourite...
ReplyDeleteCity, Town, Countryside you got it all, Randall. Fantastic. I really gaped at the first one, have never been to such a large city , I think. I ooooohed at the second, such a wonderful looking small town, could live there, am sure, I could hitch my horse to a post and then aaaawwwwed at the last. Here we give our cows the last of the corn, but am sure they would eat pumpkin too, given the choice. Saw a photograph from a elephant sanctuary in Thailand the other day, the elephants were tucking into a donation of pumpkins. Adorable. Thank you for letting us into your world.
