PICTURE THIS #232 ~ THE INITIAL LETTERS OF HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hello all! Belita here and I’ll be your host for this very first Challenge of 2014 that has just arrived. Thanks, Mitch, for giving me such a honour. So, after thinking and thinking of a theme, I came up with Happy New Year. Not in the strict sense of a greeting but pictures the main subject of which starts with H, N and Y. They can be whatever you like, as long as the subject of each one starts with each of the three aforesaid letters. For example, one for Hospital, another for Nose and the third for Yolk.

My first photo is HAIRSTYLE (Vogue's Fashion Night Out-Lisbon 2013). The photo was taken at an open-air hairdresser's set up on Lisbon's main street, exclusively for the event.

Y IS FOR YARN

    Hi Belita!! Many thanks for hosting the first challenge of the new year. Great idea you had!! I really had to think about it for a while. Great 'action' capture of the hairstylist and model. Not sure if that style will catch on though!!! LOL. Lovely shot of the little dog having a nap. Nice bright colours of the yarns in the third shot :-))

    Hi, Belita! What a nice challenging theme to start off this New Year. I love the hairdresser; would like to see his final product. The little dog is so sweet, nice colors too. The yarn is wonderful in rainbow arrangement.

    A good variety of photos. Interesting hair do, the dog is somewhere in doggy nirvana and love the colours of the yarn.
