In the case of the first photo, I didn't play much with light but I did it with the several translucent hair-pins and brooches by trying to display them in the translucent crystal glassware, and give the illusion, at a first sight, of the image of a Japanese woman wearing kimono. Perhaps only I can see it...
Once again, I played with light, this time not in Lisbon but somewhere in the south.
hi belita
ReplyDeletethey are all good I like first for its play on light on the stones
the second I love the way the sun light shines through the slates and the third so lovely for the effect of the sunlight on the objects actually makes it look like a wonderful painting
The first is very imaginative and looks good.I love effects as shown on the second photo. the third photo is very interesting.
ReplyDeleteDelightful glass composition
ReplyDeleteBeautiful juxta of autumn leaves and the wall with its curving supports.
Terrific still-life
Hi Belita!! Three wonderful shots for Benni's theme. With the first shot, I believe I CAN see the 'Japanese woman. Stylised, perhaps, but definately gives the impression. I really love the second shot, there are two areas of light-play in this one.....on the wall and on the leaves. But more than that, in both areas the patterns combined with the light are creating 'interference patterns'. If you stare at them for more than a few seconds you start to see what looks like movement (an optical effect). The third shot is a beautiful still-life, with the light & shadow adding depth.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Belita, I am sure it is much later there, but morning here. I love your Japanese maiden in the top picture, I saw her immediately. Such a creative picture. The leaves and shadows in your middle picture are very beautiful. My favorite might be the sun on the gourds and lantern, it is a richly warm sunlit picture. But maybe my favorite is up top; I can't decide. They are all lovely.
