Beautiful banner shot, Marianne, well-deserved! I love the colors and shapes.
I had to do some thinking on this theme; there are plenty of interesting sculptures and statues about, but we are in the middle of another polar vortex and I don't wish to go out. But, no worries, I stepped outside the box a bit, and came up with some shots from my files.
From my garden, a guardian we call "Spot".
On my dresser, a little seal carved from Baltic Amber.
I may have shown this bronze leopard before, but here he is again.
Hi Benni !! Love all three of your shots for the theme!! 'Spot' certainly looks scary, a good guardian to be sure!! The little carved seal is lovely, I like how it's catching the light. My favourite is the bronze leopard, it's really cool. I'd like one of those myself. Again, I like how you've caught the light in this one
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mitch. Playing with light is, as you know, one of my favorite things to do.
DeleteI can tell you have a great appreciation for art by these three shots. The lighting IS wonderful too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Danette. I love to pick up little figurines at art shows and museums.
DeleteHidious but cool
ReplyDeletePretty little amber goat
What a delightful ligge dog.
Of course I mean "little" :)
DeleteThank you, Anders, as I said, I delight in finding little figurines (or bigger ones). Niceof you to comment.
DeleteYou're welcome, Benni. :)
DeleteEach one has its own charm. Love the statue from the garden, I bet it looks good outside. The seal is lovely and you can show the leoplard as much as you like, well worth a second view
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat. The statue in the garden is a polymer type resin, so it is light but also weather resistant. Glad you like the leopard, he is one of my favorites.
DeleteI love these figurines. The subjects are at home or in your home. I love the last image of the bronze leopard. Great lighting in this photo.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Robert.
DeleteHi Benni! Love the three shots... they are very nice. My favourite is the 'SPOT'.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Belita. Spot is a wonderful garden companion.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Benni, though, that is the shape of green beans and strawberries, so no attribution due to me on that one. I am still surprised that Mitch chose that one, but pleased as well.
ReplyDeleteI like your out the box archive photographs and that Bronze Leopard would look so nice on my mantel piece *hint* :-)
Thank you, Marianne. Yes, the leopard is quite African, when I come to visit I shall bring him along. ; )
