Wonderful theme and stunning banner shot by Randall.
I am learning to use my new camera and it is getting easier to figure out what I am doing. Unfortunately, the weather has prevented me from getting out as much as I would like. First we had an ice storm, now we have extreme cold and snow.
Heavily-laden branches in the dawn light.
In a Nook, I took this shot of a vase with the light coming through the curtains.
Yews, also coated with ice.
Hi Benni!! Looks like you're really getting to grips with that new camera. Three great shots for Belita's theme. I love the sunlight off the snowy branches in the first shot. The second one is my fave, it has a gentle warmth to it. Good close-up if the iced Yew :-))
ReplyDeleteI had always admired your macros but now I am coming to understand the skill behind them. Getting clarity with a limited depth of field is an art.
DeleteI love the third shot of the yews coated with ice, an intersting photo. The vase is a study in still life and has succeeeded. The first is a great shot of the frosty tree.
ReplyDeleteThree excellent 'HNY', Benni! There is no doubt, you already master your new camera... love the three but the second one is very special... it shows creativity, skill and much more...
ReplyDeleteThank you, you are very kind. Sometimes I think I have mastered the camera, sometimes it masters me.
DeleteAn wonderful intricate network of branches. Beautiful lace curtain. Lovely frosted leaves.
ReplyDeleteYour learning very well Benni three beautiful captures;)
ReplyDeleteHi Benni! The branches laden with snow are pretty.
ReplyDeleteA pretty nook. I love the light through the curtains and the form of the vase. It makes me think of Lalique. (the pink part).
My favorite is the evergreen covered in ice. lovely!
Good to see the camera being mastered. he he that is the fun part. Like the vase with the shadows from the curtain. This has been a wild year so far with the weather. Knowing that it is still kicking up a bit. Hopefully the break in the weather will come sooner than later. The Yew shows what the weather has looked like well.
