  1. Congrats on your lovely jellyfish being Picture of the Week. It certainly deserves it. Your licorice picture reminds me of how I love those pastels and how hard it is to find them. Your apples are lovely and that butterfly looks unreal - like its wings are enchanted. They are very hard to capture so I have to say that is a great shot.

    1. Benni, Thanks for your comments on my photo being the picture of the week. I was pleased that I had photos to match this theme. I was pleased to capture that shot of the butterfly because I had to follow some of them in the conservatory.

    1. Yes, there are cool colors in the licorice jar. I thought that display of apples at the fair was interesting. This is one of my better photos of butterflies. Thank you.

  4. Three lovely photos. The first reminds me of my childhood days, the colourful ones were always the best. A good photo with the apples, a thankful subject. Love the butterfly, they are so colourful.

    1. Thanks,Pat. The licorice reminds me of the candy Good'n Plenty. I don't know if they sold it in the UK. I thought it was an unusual display of licorice because usually its made into string. The butterfly conservatory where this creature was flying is amazing.

  6. Hi Robert. Congratulations on your 'Photo Of The Week'. Three good contributions for this week's theme. Ahhh, that first one certainly takes me back to my youth. I used to love licorice. Haven't had any in quite a while. Great shot of the apples, they look delicious. Excellent shot of the butterfly, you captured it's wing patterns really well.

    1. Thanks, Mitch for selecting my photo as Photo of the Week. I'm glad that some of our photos remind us of past experiences. The apples were judged in a fair in September. Butterflies are challenging to photograph. I'm glad that I captured this shot.

Great choices... the first reminds me of my childhood, though they still are on the market. As Pat mentioned, the coloured were the best, I thought... Nice display of apples... butterflies and their colorful bodies always make beautiful photos and yours is not an exception...

    1. Thanks, Belita. I was intrigued when I went into that candy store and saw all of the jarred candy. The licorice were the most colorful. I just liked how they displayed the apples at the fair. Of course, the butterfly was a great shot to capture.

  10. Congrats on your jelly fish photo, Robert. Well chosen by Mitch. Lovely contributions to this weeks theme, now I could eat that jar of Liquorish Pastels in 5 seconds. Liquorish is one of my very big weaknesses, the other is red wine, but the latter has limits, the former, I only stop when packet is empty.Crispy fresh apples is another favourite of mine, partnered with cheese, a late night snack. That butterfly is a fab well caught shot. Well done.

    1. Thank you so much. If I opened that jar of licorice I would do the same. Red apples and cheese make a great combination. People here usually partner it with cheddar cheese. Thanks for your comment on the butterfly.
