Many thanks to Lynne for taking her first ever turn at hosting the challenge this week!! Wonderful theme she has chosen, with so many possibilities. Here are mine:
1) Football fun on the beach.
2) Waving in the breeze.
3) Jumpin' for joy!!
OH WOW ...Thank you for giving me the opportunity to host this week. I am thoroughly enjoying it ~smile~ ....
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely LOVE this last shot ... talk about perfect timing ... one can definitely see the wind in that second shot ... Gorgeous shot ... and the footballers ... they look cold ~smile~ ... that foot is just about to kick that ball .. another well timed capture .....
Glad you're enjoying it, Lynne :-))
DeleteI needed some patience to get that third shot of the dolphin. They were popping up out of the water randomly, so I chose a spot and waited til one popped up at that point!! LOL. It was a cold winter's day when I got that shot on the beach.
hi mitch, cool pics fit for the theme
ReplyDeleteThanks Nico.
DeleteMitch, these are good images for the theme. I like the second photo and the third of the dolphin jumping out of the water. I like that the first image was done in monochrome and the sunlight on the subjects. This had to be taken at mid day because there are no shadows cast.
ReplyDeleteThanks Robert. I do think that 'candid people' shots often look better in monochrome. It was actually taken in late afternoon, they are casting very long but very thin shadows, you have to look really closely.
DeleteLooking back on the photo I see the thin shadows.
DeleteThree different forms of movement.
ReplyDeleteI like the second one the most.
Great timing on the third one.
Thanks Sophie. The second one is my favourite, also :-))
DeleteMitch, these are all wonderful shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marcel :-))
DeleteMitch, first of all I want to express how I feel honoured finding one of my photos at the top of this week's page. Thanks, so very much for the choice.
ReplyDeleteThree beautiful photos on the theme. I always have difficulty to mention which one of your trios is my favourite. I like them all for different reasons, however, my eyes have insistently set on the top one...
Your shot was so colourful, I just felt it would look good as the site banner :-))
DeleteThanks for the comments on mine :-))
The Dolphin does it for me Mitch.
ReplyDeleteThe footballers' don't look all that energetic do they. lol
Waving in the breeze is simple but lovely too.
Thanks Shayna. It was a rather cold day at the beach and I don't think they had a lot of enthusiasm for playing football!! LOL.
Deletewonderful Mitch--all are great I love the shaft of wheat in the wind that is a classic
ReplyDeletethe dolphin came out great
Thanks Heidi :-)) Yes, the grass in the breeze id my favourite of the three.
DeleteGreat trio of shots, mate.
ReplyDeleteReady for kick-off.
Beautiful shot
Flipping flipper.
Thanks Anders. I don't know about 'ready for kick off'.....it was more like 'ready to go home and warm up!!' LOL.
Delete3 wonderful moving photos. Love the fish.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat :-))
DeleteTerrific pictures! Aren't dolphins wonderful when they are seen out of the water? What a great job you did capturing that moment, with the dolphin and the spray coming up together!
ReplyDeleteThanks Benni :-)) It wasn't easy getting that shot!! It required some patience.
DeleteAll good examples of movement.
ReplyDeletethat last shot is my favorite
Thanks Lynda :-))
DeleteFantastic shots, Mitch. The black and white is very nice. I kept looking for our American football. It took a moment to focus on the ball!
ReplyDeleteBeing the nature lover that I am, I love the second photo the best. So simple but so lovely!
The last one is just terrific. They do seem like such joyous animals. A very good caption!
Thanks Debby :-))
DeleteI should have remembered the different trans-Atlantic use of the word 'football' and put 'soccer' in brackets!! LOL.
The second shot is my fave, too.
Dolphins always look like they are having fun, as if the whole of life itself is fun. We humans could learn a thing or two from them, methinks :-))
