Many thanks to Lynne for taking her first ever turn at hosting the challenge this week!! Wonderful theme she has chosen, with so many possibilities. Here are mine: 1) Football fun on the beach.
OH WOW ...Thank you for giving me the opportunity to host this week. I am thoroughly enjoying it ~smile~ ....
Absolutely LOVE this last shot ... talk about perfect timing ... one can definitely see the wind in that second shot ... Gorgeous shot ... and the footballers ... they look cold ~smile~ ... that foot is just about to kick that ball .. another well timed capture .....
I needed some patience to get that third shot of the dolphin. They were popping up out of the water randomly, so I chose a spot and waited til one popped up at that point!! LOL. It was a cold winter's day when I got that shot on the beach.
Mitch, these are good images for the theme. I like the second photo and the third of the dolphin jumping out of the water. I like that the first image was done in monochrome and the sunlight on the subjects. This had to be taken at mid day because there are no shadows cast.
Thanks Robert. I do think that 'candid people' shots often look better in monochrome. It was actually taken in late afternoon, they are casting very long but very thin shadows, you have to look really closely.
Mitch, first of all I want to express how I feel honoured finding one of my photos at the top of this week's page. Thanks, so very much for the choice. Three beautiful photos on the theme. I always have difficulty to mention which one of your trios is my favourite. I like them all for different reasons, however, my eyes have insistently set on the top one...
Terrific pictures! Aren't dolphins wonderful when they are seen out of the water? What a great job you did capturing that moment, with the dolphin and the spray coming up together!

The second shot is my fave, too.
Dolphins always look like they are having fun, as if the whole of life itself is fun. We humans could learn a thing or two from them, methinks :-))
