Many thanks to Debby for hosting this week's theme. There's so much scope for interpretation with her theme!! Here's mine:
1) The wonderful colours and patterns in this flower.
2) A parrot shows off the colourful patterns of his wing-feathers.
3) Look deep into the colourful patterns of the crystal ball..........
Amazing flower shot.
ReplyDeleteLove the parrot - absolutely fabulous plumage
"Bubble, bubble, double trouble..."
Thanks Anders.
DeleteYou're welcome, Mitch.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Nico :-))
Deleteahhhh wonderful mitch
ReplyDeleteThanks Heidi :-))
DeleteMitch, you chose three incredible shots for this theme! The flower pattern with the tiny hearts is amazing. Do you know the name of the flower?
ReplyDeleteThe parrot is beautiful! I hope I'll have the opportunity to photograph a parrot some day.
That last shot is just magical!
Thanks Debby :-))
DeleteThat flower was taken at the National Botanical Gardens, so probably isn't a native species to the UK. I'm not too sure what flower it is. I always forget to note down the names of them!!
I photographed the parrot in Florida.
Three lovely shot for colorful patterns theme. Mitch
ReplyDeleteI like the last one very much. :)
Thanks Sophie :-))
DeleteThe sunflower is one explosion of yellow. great shot of the parrot just at the right time and the crystal ball is just shining with colour.
ReplyDeleteBy the way did I read that you were not too well, so I hope you are now feeling better.
Thanks Pat. I don't think the flower is a Sunflower, although it might be a distant relative.
DeleteYes, I've had a bad bout of the flu this past week, but I'm recovering now. Thanks for asking :-))
All of these photos are exquisite. I love the sharpness in the sunflower and in the parrot. All of its feathers are tack sharp. Such beautiful colors in its wings. The last photo is creative. I like its originality.
ReplyDeleteThanks Robert. Close-up and macro shots of flowers are something of a speciality of mine.
DeleteThe parrot shot is not quite as sharp as I'd like it, he started to move his wing as I took the shot, so the wing feathers aren't as sharp as the body feathers.
The last shot is a close-up of one of my mom's ornaments. The crystal ball is illuminated from within and when the room lights are turned off, projects colourful patterns onto the walls and ceiling.
Fabulous flower, wonderfully photographed! I love the parrot and the crystal ball is mesmerizing.
ReplyDeleteGood grief, just read Pat's comment, hope you are doing better.
Thanks Benni :-))
DeleteI've had flu all week but starting to feel much better now, thanks :-))
Wow... Mitch... these are really beautiful interpretations! Amazing colours and detail in the first... nice combination of vibant colours in the second and the hues of blue and the subject in the third make it my favourite...
ReplyDeleteThanks Belita :-))
DeleteAll wonderful colors...that pattern in the top does it for me! Awesome selection :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Danette :-))
DeleteThat flower shot is unreal, if you look at it for a while, your eyes goes funny, just like looking into a kaleidoscope. Wow. Love the parrot, though not my favourite bird, they are too big and noisy, but sure is pretty , now the crystal ball intrigues me "what was the future?"
ReplyDeleteHi Marianne. Yeah, there are certain flowers that are almost like living kaleidoscopes, this is one of them :-))
