Picture This #189 - A Moving Moment!

So many possibilities for this theme.  I decided to go to my files and the first three photos I liked that fit the theme would be my choices.  First is a photo I took of Diamond playing in the round pen.  With Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 I had edited the photo with the water color options.

The Texas panhandle is known for it's wind.  Destruction can come in many forms from the wind.  We just had a blizzard with very high winds and lots of snow that drifted causing lots of problems but my photo is about something we all fear ---- FIREThis fire is a controlled burn done on a national wildlife preserve a few miles west of us.

My last photo was taken at a high school rodeo.  The rider is a grandson on his rope horse and I lucked out and caught the action of the rope about to go around the calf's neck.

  2. I thought the third one was perfectly timed too. Love the first one and yes, wind and fire together are very scary.

  8. Hi Lynda!! Great trio of movement shots. I really like the effect you've applied to the shot of Diamond playing. The 'burn' shot is really dramatic. The third shot is the best, perfectly timed!!

  9. Three great studies in movement. The one of the fire really has an impact. The first shows a lovely horse, but the last is really a good action shot.

  10. Lynda, these are amazing photos! I love all three, from the editing in the first, to the billowing smoke of the controlled burn, to the last, of your grandson, which is a fantastic capture.
