What a great theme to play with. There are many interpretations to apply. I've viewed the other contributions to gain some inspiration. This lead me to go through my folders to find these images.
The first one is a shot of a window in a gift shop. We were at the Heritage Museum in Sandwich, MA. This window with the glass was intriguing.
This shot is the west wall of the Yale University Art Gallery in New Haven, CT. The reflection of the building across the street captured my eye.
This last image was taken several years ago in the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. This helicopter was suspended from the ceiling. It's not a beautiful image but it shows the innovation of the museum.
Thanks, Robert, I am glad you liked the theme. Your first picture is so delicate and filled with pastels and light. It is indeed intriguing. I love the window reflection; a great way to capture the image of a building. And I am so interested by your third picture. How absolutely unique it is. Wonderful selections, thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Benni. I enjoyed this theme greatly. I fell in love with the window scene when I saw it. I was searching for a third image when I remembered the helicopter.
DeleteRobert those are very beautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteLove the last one best.
Thank you, Susan. I'm glad you liked these shots.
Deleteall great interpretations
ReplyDeleteThree very good shots. the helicopter is most unusual. I like very much the window reflection and the ornaments in the window are an interesting study.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful glass art
ReplyDeleteCool reflections in the facade.
The classic MASH chopper.
COOL PICS, ROBERT
ReplyDeleteHi Robert!! Three good takes on this week's theme!! Your first shot is my fave, I like how you captured several aspects of glass.....the ornaments, the shelves and the windows. Nicely captured reflection in the second shot. I like the third shot, although I think a helicopter is a strange exhibit for a museum of modern art!!
ReplyDeleteI can't recall why the helicopter was displayed. I haven't returned to the MOMA so I wouldn't know if it's still there.
DeleteThree fantastic shots Robert. I really like the second one the best though.
ReplyDeleteHi Robert,
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful window scene, I can well understand you falling in love with it. Something about wooden glass paned windows, that are so intriguing, even on their own (as I said to Anders with his windows too) but with the glass ornaments it is extra special.
More reflections in glass windows, lovely capture too and then a helicopter hanging in a museum. How strange, but great capture.
Yes, indeed. When I saw this window with the glass in it, I loved it and had to photograph it. The helicopter is strange to be in an art museum. don't recall why it was displayed. Thanks for your comments.
DeleteNice shots, Robert. The glass objects in the first shot are all lovely....especially the GREEN! (my fav).
ReplyDeleteReflections in windows/glass buildings are always fascinating to me. In NYC you get a lot of the old reflected in the new.
I have a shot of the helicopter, also. It was just so unexpected when I came across it that I HAD to photograph it. It's nice for children to be able to see something like that close up. (or relatively close)
Debby, do you recall why the helicopter was in the MOMA? I have to say that my favorite is the window with the glass. Thanks for your comments.
DeleteThe first is my favorite as I love colored glass in a window
ReplyDeleteExcellent selection on this week's theme, Robert! What a coincidence... I was about to post one photo very similar to the top one. I had seen that glass ornament at a shop here in Lisbon. Reflections are always beautiful and your second shot does prove it... the 3rd is quite unique...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Belita.
