Picture This #463 ~ On The Farm

Wonderfully beautiful banner shot by Heidi. And an intriguing theme. We have plenty of farms around here but I don't have shots of them because usually we are driving by with no safe place to pull off. I especially like to see cows under the shade of a tree or lazily grazing in a field. But, no pix. Here are some I do have:

Red Barn
Old barn, probably not in use anymore.

Pumpkins
In the fall, farmers put their crops out to sell. Pumpkins are a favorite.

VanAtta's
This is a nursery, with little seedlings popping up. I think these are baby lettuce plants.

Greetings everyone, this is Mitch. I'll be hosting this week as I totally forgot to send a msg to the person I wanted to host this week!! Think it's a sign of getting old!! LOL. This week's theme is 'On The Farm'. It can be farm animals, machinery, buildings, crops.........any or all of those. I've chosen three farm animals and a crop.

1) A baby lamb.

2) Wheat crop.

Picture This #462 ~ Harbors

Very tasty banner shot, nice job, Belita. I love harbors, both as places for boats, and, metaphorically, as safe places to rest. I don't live near any harbors, and Venice, in Florida, doesn't have a harbor due to the straight shoreline. Nevertheless, I was able to find two that I like.

Many thanks to Heidi for hosting this week. A great theme, one that I don't think we've done before!! I had fun choosing my photos, as I have quite a lot of harbour shots.

1) Ferry leaving for Ireland from Pembroke Dock harbour, just four miles from where I live.
Ferry Calm

2) Sunset over the River Cleddau, Pembrokeshire, Wales. in the distance is the deep-water harbour used by the oil tankers.

3) Tenby Harbour, a favourite place of mine to visit, just six miles from where I live.

4) This one is a bit different. The Harbour-Master's office at Weymouth Harbour, Dorset, England. You can see a harbour controller on his radio telling someone off for not obeying harbour rules.
