A big thanks to Benni for offering to host this week while I've been away looking after mom. A good theme, with lots of possibilities. The hardest part of this one was narrowing it down to four photos as I have a lot of photos of both doors and windows in my archive.
1) Defender's View. This is what windows looked like in many castles in the centuries before glass was used.
2) Cabin View. Taken from inside sandstone cabins in Valley Of Fire State Park, Nevada. Once used to accommodate travellers, now empty and abandoned, but a great view!!
3) Old church window. Now boarded up, not sure because of vandalism or just wear and tear of time and never replaced.
4) View through a window in the Hopi ruins in Wukoki, Arizona.
Cool cross-shape to the arrowslit
ReplyDeleteGrand view to the utter desolation of the majestic mountainn vista.
Might be both - a pity that people cant leave things alone, though, it that is the case
Great shot
Hi mitch glad you are back and hope your mom is okay
ReplyDeletelove anders banner makes one hungry
love your shots especially the first one and the Nevada one great shots
Hi Mitch, welcome back. Nice variety of shots here. Cool cross-shaped window; nice view of the countryside and a small target for archers attacking the castle. From cool green to fiery red, the second one looks hot. Melancholy old church window, it looks old due to the different colors of the bricks. And another hot vista, nicely framed. My father-in-law spent some time in the '40's living with the Hopi. I wonder if they are still in Arizona.
ReplyDeleteHi Mitch! Very artistic shots I see on here. Other than artistic they show your special eye and talent to get the best angle...
