Good morning everyone, I will be your host this week. We have a lovely banner shot by Mitch, a sweet little bird singing its heart out. My theme is simple and people should find they have many shots to choose from or take. It is red. Red can be the main colour in the picture or a complementary colour. Enjoy! Here are mine.
My favorite fruit, the pomegranate. In Sicily pronounced pom-uh-gra-NA-tay. Delicious red juice pours out of the ruby seeds for those patient enough to get to them.

Hi Benni! Thanks for hosting, thanks for the choice of the theme! I love them all but the top one is my favourite. Pomegranate is a very beautiful fruit particularly when we cut it and find so many red 'pearls', inside. I appreciate the good exercise of patience it requires which makes the fruit be a special one. Did you know that in Spanish it's named Granada, a word that has given the name to the Spanish city that takes the fruit as one of the symbols of its coat of arms?

I know you said on your page that you struggled to get the shot you wanted, but your persistence paid off, and then some!! Lovely shot of the vase reflecting the light from the window. Great shot of a classic car.....cue for a song, maybe? LOL.

ReplyDeleteA good detailed photo of the pomegranate and the light on the red vase is very well caught. Red seems to be the corvette colour, and that is a good shot with the driver in his red cap.

ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting, Benni! Always so much to choose from when you pick a color as the theme! I happen to love the color red. Even though green is my favorite, everything in my kitchen is red. Go figure!
The pomegranate looks luscious! Beautiful shot and you did a wonderful job with the lighting!
Pretty vase! I love the light rippling across the wall and across the vase turning it into a sea of red!
I have to say, the Corvette shot is my favorite!!! If I saw that car, I'd be clicking away, too!
