The first shot is from a visit to Helsingör. The shop lies in a narrow street between the main walking one and the harbour.

The two below is from a visit to Copenhagen. A souvenir shop on the Ströget, the main shopping street of the city.

Greetings everyone, this is Mitch. I'll be hosting this week. PLEASE NOTE: next week will be our annual September break, so no theme. We will resume on Saturday 29th September. 

This week's theme is ~SHOPS~. There are lots of different types, let's see your favourites. 

1) Greengrocer's shop.

2) For all your canine supplies!!

3) Not strictly a shop, it's a bistro...but I love the name!!

4) Looking through the window of a small bakery in Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

5)  This tiny shop near St David's Cathedral, Pembrokeshire, Wales, sells the most delicious hand-made chocolates and home-made ice-cream.

Just sitting here enjoying my coffee, looking at your wonderful pictures and Belita's magnificent banner shot.

I love early fall, before it gets too cold. This year we have had a two months' long drought and our trees are not their usual bright colors. But I have other pictures.

A swallowtail butterfly on yellow flowers.

By the buds on his head, you can tell this is a young buck.

In the afternoon light, an Italian salad with herbs from my garden.

Many thanks to Heidi for hosting this week. Where has the year gone? Hardly does it seem like the year is starting and suddenly here we are posting about autumn!!! I always love the sights and colours of this season. Here are mine:

A big thanks to Benni for offering to host this week while I've been away looking after mom. A good theme, with lots of possibilities. The hardest part of this one was narrowing it down to four photos as I have a lot of photos of both doors and windows in my archive.

1) Defender's View. This is what windows looked like in many castles in the centuries before glass was used.

2) Cabin View. Taken from inside sandstone cabins in Valley Of Fire State Park, Nevada. Once used to accommodate travellers, now empty and abandoned, but a great view!!

3) Old church window. Now boarded up, not sure because of vandalism or just wear and tear of time and never replaced. 

4) View through a window in the Hopi ruins in Wukoki, Arizona.

Hello all, Mitch is away on family business and I am sure we all wish him well. For this week, I will be your host. My theme is "Doors and Windows" inspired by a post that Belita did on her site about door knockers in Portugal. I thought it might be interesting for us to post pictures of different doors or windows, as seen from the inside or outside. Here are mine for a start. I'll be here to comment on yours in the morning, about 12 hours from now, when it is morning here in Michigan.
