PICTURE THIS #451 ~ FEATHERED FRIENDS

Congratulations, Mitch, for such a beautiful banner image! Excellent choice of theme for this week's PT. If we hadn't feathered friends, our environment would never be friendly...

Hope you like my three feathered friends....
This one I found him at a backyard of a bar in Oporto. At a first look, I had thought it was a fake one but as I got closer and closer I realised he wasn't. In Oporto, seagulls are very friendly and urban birds... they never get scared of people.

Picture This #451 ~ Feathered Friends

Wonderful banner shot by Mitch and fabulous theme. I only have a few hundred bird shots and am posting late because I wanted to pick my very favorites. It was a tough but enjoyable job. Here they are.

Pelican

Woodpecker
A woodpecker wandered into my neighbor's yard in Florida and so did I.

At sunset, schools of fish swim toward the surface and pelicans are waiting. So are photographers.

Hi everyone, this is Mitch. I'll be your host this week. Have had a busy week and almost forgot to pick a theme!! I've chosen 'Feathered Friends'.......in other words, your favourite bird shots. All of my shots are of my absolute favourite bird to photograph........the Great Blue Heron.

1) This one was standing in a pool full of gators and didn't seem at all bothered.

2) This guy was admiring the reflections.

3) This one landed right by me and just stood there letting me take photos.

Picture This #450 ~ The Month Of May

Many thanks to Benni for hosting this week. A very good theme. I'm a little late posting as I've been out all morning. I've had a bad case of flu, where I didn't get out of bed for several days. I've finally shaken it off and as the weather was warm and sunny decided it was a good time to get out, get some fresh air and get some photography done. So all my photos for this theme were taken today at Picton Castle, Pembrokeshire, Wales and are straight out of the camera.

Picture This #450 ~ The Month Of May

Good Morning all, thanks to Benni for a lovely theme. I have done very little photography this Month as I have been working hard on the garden which has had a lot of hard surface work done over the month and I have repotted many plants so I have just been outside and taken some shots of the garden. I hope its OK I put one extra in because I could not choose between these last 5 shots. Have a great weekend .

Picture This #450 ~ The Month Of May

Hello everyone. Thanks for putting my gopher turtle as banner picture. He's thrilled.
It's a warm and lovely May and a song from the musical "Camelot" has been running through my head. Maybe you remember it: "The Lusty Month of May". To me that means the joy and beauty we experience during this season.  Let's see pictures you have taken in May, of flowers, animals, landscapes, people.

May is robin nesting time.

Mayapples

Joggers
