Picture This #460 ~ Sepia Tones

Oh how I love that perky lemur that is our banner shot! And a wonderful theme. Sepia tones can totally change the atmosphere of a picture and it was a pleasure to look through my photos to find some that would look good in sepia. Here they are.

Many thanks to Isabel for hosting this week. A wonderful theme, which we have not done before. I had fun doing this one. As sepia gives a photo an appearance of being from a 'different age', I deliberately used photos of things that were old to start with, so the sepia would add to it.

Hello PT Group! It's me Belita who is pleased to host this week's Challenge. Congratulations, Mitch, for the cute banner image.
 My choice of theme is very simple: 'SEPIA TONES'. They give a “retro” feeling that can be different with each edit.  I  don't know we have ever done it but in an affirmative case,  please, accept a second round of it.

Last Wednesday, St. James's Day, this 'warrior' was at the entrance of a Monastery that's located on the Portuguese Way to Santiago Compostela (Galicia-Spain)

As I saw these three ladies at a beach resort - Espinho, 25 km south of Oporto) - they reminded me of the photos from the good old days when only wealthy people could afford staying at thermal resorts.

Many thanks to Benni for hosting this week. A great theme and it couldn't have been timed better, as I'd only just visited Manor House Wildlife Park yesterday!! So these are all new shots!!

1) Red Panda. The newest arrival at Manor House, only arrived a few weeks ago.

2) Emu. I caught this one staring right at me.

3) Red-Bellied Lemur. A cousin of the better-known Ring-Tails, these guys make funny little grunting sounds like pigs.

4) Wallaby. This one was enjoying being stroked.

Hi and good morning, this is Benni, your host for this week. I am happy to see the Sand River Falls as the banner picture; thank you very much.

Our theme this week is animals. Mine are wild animals, but you may chose domestic beasts, your pets, or statues or pictures of animals.

I was aiming at another lizard when this one popped up with a dragonfly breakfast.

On the fence, an indigo bunting. He has just taken a bath in the stream below and his feathers are a bit  unkempt.
