Many thanks to Isabel for hosting this week. A wonderful theme, which we have not done before. I had fun doing this one. As sepia gives a photo an appearance of being from a 'different age', I deliberately used photos of things that were old to start with, so the sepia would add to it.
1) Aberglasny House.
2) Interior of Picton Castle.
3) Plas Mawr, an Elizabethan Great House.
4) Gatehouse of Llawhaden Castle.
Beautiful mansion

ReplyDeletelove your sepia pics I love old look cool
You are so right, Mitch, sepia does add the appearance of being from a different age, it is a glorious effect. I like the clouds over Aberglasny house, do people live there still? Your next picture looks like it was taken in the 1920's, a nice souvenir someone might take. Plas Mawr is wonderful, but my favorite is your last one, ancient and brooding, still majestically guarding the castle.
ReplyDeleteHi Mitch! Glad to know my choice is not a repetition of a theme done before... You're very right. If we choose subjects that take us back to the past, the sepia edit results really good. Your four shots do show it. Beautiful House surrounded by a well manicured garden... I would love to attend a solo piano concert in that room... That Elizabethan House is highly ornamental in style... It must be wonderful if it is seen in its whole... From the gatehouse I guess how the Castle must have a long history...
