Picture This #428 ~ Many Faces Of Winter

Thanks for hosting Heidi and congratulations to Benni for the appetising banner photo.

We had our first snow fall this week, so I was out and about taking photos.

Even the mistletoe gets its frosty layer in Winter.

A view of the snow covered Jura looking through the Christmas decorations on the main road through the village of Langendorf.

Leaving our village in the morning to go shopping after our first snowfall through the night. The roads have already been cleared.

  1. Hi Pat!! Great shots for this week's theme. Looks like it was perfect timing for your first snowfall !! Love the shot of the frosted mistletoe.....almost looks like frozen bird's nests. Spectacular winter scene in the second shot, of the snow-covered mountains. The decorations add a festive feel. very efficient at snow clearing are the Swiss. Britain could learn a thing or two. Wonderful frosted branches to finish.

  2. Lovely shots, Pat, and I gasped at your last one! What a great medley of whites and blue in the snow, clouds and sky. Nice to see your village in winter and if I were a winter person I would enjoy walking in the snowy pine woods of your mountain.
