Hi everyone, the Angloswiss Miss Pat calling from Switzerland with this weeks theme. Friday evening here, but I have no time on Saturday morning. I do not get about so much at the moment because of the weather mostly, so most of my recent photos are from the area where I live. Houses are everywhere, so I am sure we will find something.
I pass this house everytime we travel to the supermarket. On this day the sky played with me, as well as everything else. I was in the right place at the right time it seems.
Even birds need a house, especially in the cold weather in Winter. It is their canteen.
This house belonged to the Von Roll family. We knew someone that lived there and saw it from the inside, very big but not so friendly. It stands in the town of Solothurn and Casanova once spent the night there (yes really). It is said he had something with Lady Von Roll.
And this is where the local hermit lives when we have one. At the moment the job is vacant. They seem to have quite a turnover on hermits. Probably due to the fact that the place is in a ravine where the sun only shines about half an hour a day and a river runs through it all. No good for hermits with rheumatism.

ReplyDeleteHi Pat!! Many thanks for hosting this week. A great theme, with lots of possibilities!! Nice yellow house in the first shot, well separated from any neighbours!! Means they can have the music or TV on loud!! Wonderful shot of the birds having lunch at the Birdhouse Bistro. Quite a Manor House in the third shot, it's quite easy to imagine elegant parties going on there...as well as other things!! I really like the Hermitage but don't think I could live there with so little sun and so much damp!!

Interesting yellow house, rather picturesque and wonderful sky. Cute birds, especially the blue and yellow one. Great picture of the Van Roll house, where the lady had a Roll in the hay with Casanova? Couldn't resist. But it is a fine picture. Fascinating hermit house, I would stay a night there, but the river element might discourage me. You shot it at a very good angle.
