Picture This #329 ~ Fall Foods

Many thanks to Heidi for hosting this week. An interesting theme, and one I found rather difficult, as I rarely photograph food (or drink)!!  Had to do a little improvising and do something I rarely do.....take new photos specially for the theme!!

1) Nothing better, or more warming, at lunchtime on a cold November day than a bowl of chicken noodle soup.

2) A favourite winter meal for me is meatballs and potatoes. Unfortunately, as these are for dinner later in the week, I had to photograph them still in the packages.

3) Celebration? Would you like beer or wine?
Cheers

PICTURE THIS #328 ~ FADING LIGHT

HI MITCH! I'M PLEASED TO SEE A PHOTO FROM YOU AS BANNER IMAGE FOR THIS WEEK... EXCELLENT CHOICE!

I'm not very confident of my selection for the theme that our nice host, Benni, has kindly chosen...
Anyway, I didn't want to skip my contributions this week...

Thanks for hosting Benni, and congratulations to the banner photo Mitch.

We are having sunny days currently, but even the sun goes down some time in the afternoon and they are the photos where you can capture the interesting lighting effects. Having over 16,000 photos I do not have the time to search through the old photos, so I took Mr. Swiss for a walk along the river (again) and these are a couple of my shots.

It's Autumn and the leaves are falling.

Many thanks to Benni for hosting this week. A great theme, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's entries for this one. Fading or low light can make for dramatic shots, it's something I like to photograph from time to time when the conditions are just right.

Here are mine:

1) Lowering Sky. This isn't a B&W shot, this is actually how the sky looked on that day.

Picture This #328 ~ Fading Light

Hello, and welcome to Picture This, Benni here, your host this week. Trying to think of a theme, I found myself looking out the window to the grey dreary November day with just a bit of snow.  This is the time of year when there is less sunlight and the days are shorter and darker. Yet low light can be lovely and beauty can be found even in this season. So my theme is "Fading Light"; show us pictures of late autumn or photographs with subtle shades of low light. Here are mine to start.

Picture This #327 ~ Everyday Life

This is a wonderful theme. Sorry to be a bit late in posting. I am so honored to see my leaves as banner picture, thank you!!

Picture This #327 ~ Everyday Life

Thanks for hosting Belita and congratulations Benni on the banner photo.

Like Mitch, I don't do a lot of people stuff, so on my walk today along the local River Aar I concentrated more on people.

How's this? even Mr. Swiss takes photos.

And then I remembered a photo I once took some time ago. Mr. Swiss and I found it so sweet how they were walking together. Even when you are a golden oldie it's fun to hold hands.

Many thanks to Belita for hosting this week, it's a great theme!! Unfortunately, because I have tended to specialise in flower & insect macros over the past two or three years, I've neglected my photography of 'everyday life', so my shots are all from my archive.

PICTURE THIS #327 ~ EVERYDAY LIFE

Hi all! Belita here to be hosting this week's challenge. Not until I opened a book by Gretchen Robin and read the sentence One thing I wish I could tell my younger self: take photos of everyday life, not special occasions; later, that's what will be interesting to you had I got the idea of a theme that might be of interest to all of you.
Hope you have fun with  'your' EVERYDAY LIFE.
