Wonderful banner shot by Anders and thanks for hosting with an good theme, at least for me.

I am a blogger and write regularly a blog on WordPress which is titled "Good Morning" so I did not have a problem to find photos. I often take a photo when I rise, of the sky above where I live as a photo for my blog, so here is a selection, mostly taken around 7.30-8.00 a.m.

Many thanks to Anders for hosting this week. A really nice theme, but one I had a lot of difficulties with. I rarely take sunrise shots, in fact I think I've only ever taken two or three and I couldn't find them in my archive!! Instead, I had to track down photos in my archive that were taken  during the morning....also not an easy task as the majority of my photos were taken after midday, according to the time-stamps on them. I finally settled on these:

1) A thoughtful New Forest Pony, taken in the morning light. 

2) A spider sitting in it's web, hoping breakfast will arrive.

3) A Teasle in the morning light.

4) A bee warming up in the early morning sun.

Good morning from one of my last mornings in Florida. Such a beautiful picture by Anders for our banner shot. The greens are translucent and the trees show just enough of the house to pique my curiosity.

In the morning, the Anoles (lizards) sun themselves. This one is showing his dewlap, an inflatable flap of skin, which serves to attract females or threaten strangers.

1) This one always makes me smile, as I caught them by surprise. The one at the front was in the middle of munching a mouthful of grass.

2) A field of buttercups...what could be more rural than that?

3) These Highland cattle looked really contented in their rural setting on a warm summer day.

4) A meadow full of puff-balls at Colby Woodland, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

Hello everyone, Pat calling from the land of chocolate and cheese fondue. I am the chosen one this week, so as usual am already here on Friday as my Saturday mornings are too busy to blog.

I am really running out of ideas. I live in farming country, rarely get out to the towns at the moment, but like to take a walk now and again, even if it is only half an hour. I decided rural is a nice big scope for everyone.

What could be more rural than the tractor ploughing up the land in the village with the village church in the background - photo taken in my village just across the road.

Took a trip up the local mountain (Balmberg) this week and shot a few photos, so here is one from the top.

And this is the village where Mr. Swiss was born and grew up.

I live next to a river, but now I have to find something completely different, so let's see what I have in my collection.

A river shot of the Aar with a difference. I was surprised when I uploaded it to see the capture of the sun on the surface of the water.

If you leave a bowl of water outside for the cat, this is what happens. When the cats away, the sparrows will play and drink.
