  1. Hi Belita!!! Wonderful photos for this week's theme. The first photo is interesting.......I am trying to decide if it is the remains of a paddle-wheel boat, or the remains of a water-mill. I am baffled by the object in the second photo, I really don't know what it is. I love the textures of the third photo, of all the shoe-inserts. The final shot made me smile, it's like a wood-collector's chest!!

    1. Hi Mitch! In the first shot what you see is the remains of a water-mill, while the second shot pictures what we call a French mouse-trap.
      Thanks for your kind words.

  2. An old rickity wheel

    Instrument of torture?

    Clogs galore

    Rubbish

  3. Hi Belita, once again I am in love with your photos. Beautiful old wheel, black and white really does it justice. The object in your second photo is perhaps a trap? Love the pattern of the wooden soles, nicely done. And the old chest is lovely with green and red accents here and there.

  5. some very interesting shots showing what can be done with wood. I particularly like the one with the clogs.

  6. That first shot is so cool. It's not likely you would ever come across anything like that here. People would have made off with it for a souvenir.

I was thinking mousetrap when I saw that second one, but if that's what it is, I can't imagine how it works.

The wooden soles make a very interesting shot. I love the lines and texture and the way they are all stacked so nice and tightly against each other.

That last shot is perfect for this theme! I can't imagine who would put together this picturesque ensemble, but I love it! It's my favorite of this set.

    Wonderful shots, all four.
