Hi all, I loved thinking about this theme and what I could do with it.
Thank you for putting my butternut as banner shot; I am honored.
Here we go:
Captain Eddie's bar in Nokomis, Florida.
O'Hare Airport, Chicago.
Music on the beach, Venice, Florida. Despite all the electric amplifiers, it was more folk than rock.

Good banner photo from Benni and thanks for hosting with such an original theme.
It just so happened after I saw this theme that Mr. Swiss was playing with some music recording on his computer using some strange programme that I did not know as he went playing with some of his jazz musician friends yesterday evening and working on the recording. The picture on the screen caught my attention so I took a photo.
We now have a new provider for our Internet and so had to have a new modem. This is now our brain of our complete installation at home, serving all computers.
Here are the Christmas lights on the main street through our village. Nothing spectacular, but at least we can't complain that they spend too much money on them.
I took this in Dagenham, London. Seems to be a collection of telephone cables for the street.

Greeting everyone, this is Mitch, I'll be hosting this week. Have been trying to think of a theme that we haven't done before, and I think I found one!! The theme is 'Electric'. There's LOTS of possible interpretations for this, so let's see some fun and interesting shots!!
Here are mine:
1) Plasma Hand!!
2) Times Square, NYC.
3) Electric Blue.
4) March Of Progress.

Picture This #329 ~ Fall Foods
Great theme, Heidi, this is one I can relate to. I love taking pictures of food.
Butternut squash
The table set for Thanksgiving dinner, 2008.
My husband's mother's side of the family is from Hungary and this is authentic Paprikás, no real recipe, made from memory of his mother and grandmother cooking. Traditionally the chicken dish is served over "nookedlie" or home-made noodles, but he has not been adventurous enough to try.

Thanks for featuring my banner Mitch and thanks for hosting Heidi
On a walk through the Autumn market in Solothurn gourds seem to be the thing.
And then we have the marroni man (horse chestnuts). He has been selling from this hut for many years, It is always the same family through generations that come to Solothurn from the Italian part of Switzerland throughout winter.
There is nothing like chilli con carne (my fashion) to warm you up on a cold evening.
............and a cheese fondue.

Many thanks to Heidi for hosting this week. An interesting theme, and one I found rather difficult, as I rarely photograph food (or drink)!! Had to do a little improvising and do something I rarely do.....take new photos specially for the theme!!
1) Nothing better, or more warming, at lunchtime on a cold November day than a bowl of chicken noodle soup.
2) A favourite winter meal for me is meatballs and potatoes. Unfortunately, as these are for dinner later in the week, I had to photograph them still in the packages.
3) Celebration? Would you like beer or wine?

HI MITCH! I'M PLEASED TO SEE A PHOTO FROM YOU AS BANNER IMAGE FOR THIS WEEK... EXCELLENT CHOICE!
I'm not very confident of my selection for the theme that our nice host, Benni, has kindly chosen...
Anyway, I didn't want to skip my contributions this week...

Thanks for hosting Benni, and congratulations to the banner photo Mitch.
We are having sunny days currently, but even the sun goes down some time in the afternoon and they are the photos where you can capture the interesting lighting effects. Having over 16,000 photos I do not have the time to search through the old photos, so I took Mr. Swiss for a walk along the river (again) and these are a couple of my shots.
It's Autumn and the leaves are falling.
The Bernese Alps show themselves at their best in this light. taken from a hill above the banks of the River across the Bernese plain.
A view across the river. Today seemed to be a special reflection day in the water.
And as the golden sun sinks slowly in the West, we were almost home.
