So here are my mug shots, at least those I once dared to upload in flickr!!

Me sunk in thought around 2 years old, I think.

About 8 years old at primary school, my first steps in reading.

The teenage years are upon us.

Taken in a holiday apartment in Gstaad. I suppose I was about 40 years old.

This is the most recent, about a month ago, resting on a bench after a walk through the country.

Picture This #300 ~ SPECIAL THEME: It's Me !!

Hi everyone, this is Mitch, I'll be your host this week. It's our 300th challenge!!! To mark this special occasion I've decided to do something a little different!! So the theme is: IT'S ME!!  I want you to post at least three photos of YOURSELF. One as a child, one recent (within the last year preferably) and at least one somewhere inbetween.  For this theme ONLY, I will allow you to post photos taken by other people (for obvious reasons!! LOL). I do hope you will get in the spirit of this special theme and take part!! 

Here are mine:

1) Me at age 3 (I think) in my grandmother's garden, with 'Buster' the collie.

2) Age 22, France. First trip abroad.

3) Age 35, Dartmoor. Scary hairy!! LOL

4) Recent shot. Taken by Baz on my visit last week.

Many thanks to Pat for hosting this week. A great theme, something that everyone will interpret in completely different ways. For me the most magical moments are those when meeting creatures in their natural habitat. Here are some of my favourites:

1) Chipmunk, near Atlatl Rock, Valley Of Fire.

2) Raven, Ponderosa Point, Bryce National Park.

3) Horned Lizard, Valley Of Fire.

4) Ground Squirrel, Grand Canyon.

I believe that waiting for the curtain to rise on a stage is a magical moment. This photo was taken while we were waiting for Pippin to start. The opening song of the show is "We Got Magic To Do."

I feel that when we encounter creatures in their habitat there is an exhilaration. These seals were close to our boat in Chatham Inlet.

I can't think of any other place that can surpass the Magic Kingdom in Disney World. Here is the fireworks display by the castle.

Thanks, Pat, for having chosen such an interesting theme. However, I'm not sure whether my shots below suit or not the theme.

Last week, I took this shot from my office room. It was a magic moment as the clouds looked as if they were a snow covered mountain, higher and above the horizon line...

Who can answer this conundrum? Is she walking up or down the stairs? (At a metro station, Lisbon)

Someone was smoking nearby and the shot resulted magic, somehow... (Outside Lisbon)

He was reading about a selection of Portuguese dishes designed to give the palate some magic moments...

This is a great theme, Pat. It gives us all a chance to go back and relive our memories.

Sometimes an ordinary day can contain magic. I spent a bit of a cool  day among the dunes, sheltered from the wind and dreaming.

We had just arrived at our winter home and I was looking around, delighted to find a little friend.

This was a magical evening. The dolphins were out herding fish, as they do, and the pelicans were keeping watch on a channel marker.

We all enjoy photography and sometimes there is that special photo that we are pleased with. Perhaps more luck than judgement, so show them to us.

Here we go:

The horse's eye and I think I can even see my reflection with the camera!!

On a walk along the river Aar I saw the shadows of these trees in the water.

I quite liked the reflection of the sun on this large stones at the edge of the river.

Thanks to Mr. Swiss pointing out these trees, I took a photo. I think a painting would also have been good.
