  1. Very good. Roasted chestnuts are everywhere at the moment and we even have a little house in our local town every year where we can get them. Love the photo of the real thing. The quince, the fruit that I never know what to do with. The first time I saw one was in Switzerland. That pumpkin is really good and imaginative. Have never tried cranberris (one of my favourite berries - very healthy) with cheese, but it looks very appetising. you have some good choices for the Autumn in Portugal.

  2. Belita, such colorful and wonderful pictures from you as always. I love the color contrast of the roasted chestnuts, with the yellow cones to hold them in. And how carefully the man tends them. Lovely bowl and quince, and delicious looking Polish pastry. Maybe my favorite is the mischievous pumpkin, with a carrot for a cigar and a hazelnut eye. The B/W effect sets him off well.

  4. Hi Belita!! Wonderful shots for Heidi's theme. A great candid shot of the chestnut seller and also the chestnut bowl!! Nice shot of the quince. I'm not sure if I've ever eaten quince, so I don't know what it tastes like. Fun shot of the pumpkin 'smoking' !! I really like the look of that Polish grilled cheese with cranberry. I'd like to try it!!

    1. Hi Mitch! In fact, in Portugal, at least, we don't eat fresh quince fruit but only jam. If fresh, I doubt you would like the taste....it's sour, it's bitter... not good at all, unless it's jam made.
      Thanks for the comment!
