Picture This #248 ~ Fields

Fields. I have a lot of them around here. With spring now in full gear the fields are starting to shape up all around. Here are a few from the past.

Here in this shot is a field in the painted hills area of Oregon.RAP_5848

Grass fields also taken in Oregon

  1. Wow, they are four wonderful varieties of fields. The first is very impressive with the slopes in the background and the contrast at the front. Lovely mountain in the background in Oregon and even the drylands have their charm. Love the sunflowers with the canal. All great shots.

  2. Hi Randall!! Great to see you taking part this week. Awesome shots for the theme. Love the Painted Hills backdrop for the first shot. The second shot is my fave.....just stunning!!! By the looks of that third shot, I'd say it was in dire need of some rain at the time. Great shot of the Sunflowers.

  3. Hi Randall, another great set of shots. I find myself drawn to the first shot, with so many angles, curves and shapes. The hay bales make the shot for me, but it would be a great photograph without them.

  6. Wow, I've never seen hay stacked like that before...except in a hay loft! Great shot! The Painted Hills are amazing!

Is that Mount Bachelor? That one is just plain gorgeous!

I love the fence line in your "dry land" photo...the power lines, not so much. I guess they are a necessary evil, though. aren't they? I wish they could all be hidden underground.

    Love the sunflowers!!!

  7. Yes that is one of the hardest parts of shooting some areas of Washington. The power lines.
