Picture This Challenge #180 - Fresh and Bold
This was a true challenge for me. I didn't want to post photos of flowers or food, so I searched and came up with these as my entry.
The first is Sprinkles being as bold as she can be by washing Reggie's face:
My next one is the bold color of a fiery red sunset:
And my last, the fresh-faced smile of my granddaughter, Arianna:

You just cannot get fresher or bolder than this. I have a new hobby. While I am waiting for Mr. Swiss in the local supermarket, the flower shop is just opposite the kiosk. I always have my camera with me, so I take photos of the flowers I will never be able to afford to buy, or to plant in the garden.
If you want to eat and escape, then your have to be fresh and bold in my garden. There are three cats below waiting for an extra on the dinner plate.
This was fresh and the bold part was that I had to pay for it.

Picture This #179 - Christmas
I haven't had much time to go anywhere with the camera, so I went back into my archives and tried to find some photos that I hadn't used before.
First is the Nativity scene at Radio City Music Hall in New York City:
Only in New York!!!
Every year, Santa hops on a boat which is pulled by either an ambulance or a fire truck and is driven through the streets here on Christmas eve, music blasting, giving goodies to the kids who come outside to see him. I miss the days when my kids would hear the music from blocks away and get excited waiting for Santa:
I'd like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. May all the joys and blessings of the season come your way

PICTURE THIS : CHRISTMAS by Belita
Yesterday, in the afternoon, I went out with the main purpose of trying to find something that might suit this week's challenge. I didn't want to post any photo from last Christmas. Obviously, I took several photos but these three I would like to share with you...
1. Red balls decoration
2. Christmas on the seashore -It was amazing to me - All made of sand! It was bigger than you may think but I wanted to show you the scene in full.
3. At a Christmas market

My wonderful neighbour had this little Santa in front of her door, so I asked if I could take his photo. She said, you can take it home and keep it until Christmas, I have another figure for my door Now she has a wonderful angel in front of her door (must take a photo), but here is Santa.
And here is our mini Christmas tree. If we had a mega tree, we would have 3 inquisitive cats trying to see who reaches the top first of all.
My step-daughter visted last week and brought me this wonderful Christmas bowl. She had filled it with Christmas Biscuits that she had baked herself. They were delicious and now the bowl is empty, but a beautiful ornament for a Christmas arrangement.

PT Challenge 179: Christmas
I usually always have an Amaryllis flower (or more) this time of the year. The first one to bloom this year was a deep red and is past it's blooming stage. I think this is the prettiest one I have ever had and the largest. 10" blooms and 33" tall. Currently it has 2 blooms and this photo was taken while the second bloom was only a bud.
This is a new addition. Just snowman and tree that I found at Wal-Mart. Really like how the morning light shines through it. Also have some battery operated lights (rechargeable).
I unpacked some boxes that had been in the storage barn since moving out here in the fall of '04. Found some ornaments that I had bought after Christmas and never used. I don't have room for a tree, these are hanging in the same window with lights where the snowman lives. The photo is the early morning sunrise shining through the glass ball.

A few berries, usually Christmas berries are red, but these caught my eye with their unusual color.
Squirrel tracks in the snow. We put out jars of peanut butter for them on Christmas and throughout the winter.
And what would Christmas be without my sweet cat?
Happy Christmas to everyone! Have a safe and wonderful 2013!
