Picture This #349 ~ Bridges

Many thanks to Pat for hosting this week. A great theme, I'm not sure if we've had this subject before!! I hadn't realised how many photos of bridges I'd taken til I went through my archive!! Took me awhile to decide which ones to use!!

Here are mine:

1) Water-level footbridge at the Bosherston Lily Ponds, Pembrokeshire, Wales. This is about 5 miles from where I live. When the water levels are high these footbridges can become submerged.

2) The O'Callaghan-Tillman Bridge, spanning the Colorado River. I took the photo standing on the Hoover Dam.

3) The Cleddau Bridge, Pembrokeshire, Wales, at sunset. This is about three miles from where I live.

4) London Bridge, purchased by an American businessman in the 1960's, transported to Lake Havasu, Arizona, and reassembled. Now a tourist resort.

  2. Great collection of bridges and I think we have had this theme before, but long ago probably. Love the view from the Hoover Dam, really something special. I always wondered what was so special about that London bridge and after seeing o Lake Havasu I still do, but good photo. You live in a wonderful place with all that water the those very neat bridges.

  3. Hi Mitch! Four beautiful bridges, each one different, each one with its interesting characteristics. Very impressive that one spanning the Colorado River. I also like the footbridge and would like to be one of those walkers...

  4. I am always glad when you use one of your own pictures as the banner. Fabulous bridges. For sheer beauty I like the Cleddau Bridge shot. Lovely. For majesty, you can't beat the photograph from atop the Hoover dam. I'd like to try a walk over the nearly underwater Bosherston foot bridge.
