Picture This #241 ~ Extraordinary Weather

Perfect theme for 2014! As you might know my internet is bad especially for data rich sites as this, so I will need to post now and then come around later and check everyone's photos which I expect will be, of course, extraordinary.

Congrats, Heidi, marvelous banner with all the colors of the rainbow!!

Morning after the ice storm of December 2013. These icicles, which seem to be going up, were actually going down until they overwhelmed the tree branch which fell to the ground.

Also from the ice storm. These oak leaves do not fall until spring, usually, but brought the branch down when ice coated.

  1. Beautiful icicles in the first two. Poor bird in the third.

  2. Hi Benni !! Good to see you taking part again this week. Must be frustrating having such restricted internet access. Three wonderful shots for Baz's theme. I did a double-take on that first shot til I read your explanation!! I thought you had discovered gravity-defying icicles!!! LOL. The ice-coated oak leaves are beautiful!! Had to smile at the third shot.....I posted a very similar one. Great minds think alike :-))

  3. Your icicle photos are really impressive and you caught the bird very well with his unhappy feathers.

  4. Thank you all. Yes, the poor little bird, there is something about those white egrets (possibly herons) in the rain that makes one itch for a camera.
