Picture This #243 ~ Flower Power

Many thanks to Debby for hosting the challenge this week. I know we only did this theme back in February, but in my opinion you can never have too many flower photos!!! I take more photos of flowers than all other subjects combined!!

Here are mine. These were all taken at the National Botanical Gardens Of Wales last year:

1) Xerochrysum
Xerochrysum 2

2) Esteva
Esteva 2

3) Gaillardia
Gaillardia Heart

4) Hibiscus
Dark Heart 2

  3. The xerochrysum is so pretty! I love the colors. Wonderful detail in all four. I like the close up of the hibiscus the best.

    1. Thanks Debby :-)) The Xerochrysums come in quite a range of colours. I was tempted to post four variations of this flower.

  5. I love all your photos, as always! The top one is my favourite, though the capture of the simplicity of the Esteva bloom (the same word in Portuguese for that flower that has given its name to a good red wine) is awesome. Looking at the gaillardia shot, I realize that flower shot posted by Heidi is not a gaillardia. Perhaps some close relative...

    1. Thanks Belita :-)) Yes, Heidi's flower does look similar to the gaillardia, but I'm fairly sure is an unrelated flower. I'll try to identify it.
