Look I am early. First of all wonderful banner photo and thanks for hosting Mitch. Shame that so few are now posting here. It might be something to do with blogger, perhaps not, but I will remain. Funny this would be the theme for this week, as I seem to have been doing some experiements with my photos in this way last week.

The sun was shining again last week and this is a simple and plain reflection on my stone tiled floor in the living room.

Mr. Swiss found a honeycomb outside on the porch, probably a fallen remainder of a last year wasp or bee nest, so I had to take a photo

Again some reflections of light on a blue glass vase I have.

And some shadows on the wall caused by the sun shining through the blinds.

Hi everyone, this is Mitch. I'll be your host for this week. Just a few words before we start. The last three weeks we have only had six entries per theme (including my own), seemingly several further members are not taking part, at least on a regular basis. I'm not sure how long I can keep the group going with such a low turnout. So, can I please ask all members to try to take part more often. I appreciate that occasionally you might not have something for a particular theme, but let's not let this great group die through apathy. 

This week's theme is 'Patterns Or Textures'. They can be natural or man-made. While all of mine are macros shots, they don't have to be macros. Let's see some interesting photos!!

Congratulations, Benni for such a beautiful banner image... You know, I love snow scenes.. they always awake the kid in me... when I was a child, my favourite reading/listening to tales were set in very cold places..

Thank you so much, Heidi, for hosting. And of course I am honored to have my snow-covered backyard trees as banner picture. Winter seems to be long this year.

Maybe I have shown this before. It rained and then the sun came out. The light turned the raindrops on the mesh of the porch into tiny prisms. I couldn't really capture it quite as it looked; multi-colored drops glistening in the sun.

Surprisingly, I have no shots of rainbows in my archive. Something I've never managed to capture well, so all my shots are rain or storm related.
