Great banner by pat.

Greetings and welcome from Sweden. Im your host this week and the chosen theme is...The Big Picture And Details.

The three shots below show of details on the old Steamferry Station which soon will be moved to make place for a very much unneeded conference centre which will be an eyesore for all locals and tourists coming to see our beautiful city.

  2. Good aspects of the big building. It is a shame that the old buildings have to make room for new.

    1. Thanks Pat :) Indeed it is - especially since it's gonna be an awful blight upon the centre of the city.

  3. Hi Anders!! Many thanks for hosting this week. It's a great theme!! Lovely old Steam-ferry terminal, I bet it has seen very many travellers and tourists in it's time. So sad that it is to be replaced by a modern building. Good detail shots, too.

    1. Thanks Mitch. A building site in the middle of the city. They have already begun tearing down the portion they would dispose of.

  4. Anders, you have picked a great theme and a wonderful way to honor an old building. Shame it will be torn down. I love the woodwork in your details and the old lamp. Nicely done!

    1. Thanks Benni - what they really wanted to do - I guess - is to tear the whole thing down - but they're "just" tearing a bit of down and moving the rest - that is gonna be hard enough when you think of the age of the woodwork
