Picture This #209 ~ The Photos That No One Wanted

What a great theme and I decided to have a little fun with it. As a beginning photographer, I try to take as many pictures as I can. These are three that I like but they would have stayed in my "Odds and Ends" folder.

Flowers in yellow vase

I wanted to capture these last flowers of autumn in the November light. The vase is sitting on a metal grate.

Yard sign

She won. Twice. And by all accounts, is a good judge.

Cat

Cats can be very persistent when they want something.

Congratulations, Marianne, on your magnificent photograph being chosen for the banner. It was my favorite. So very well done.

  1. The flowers are really beautiful, such vibrant colours. The second is just the sort of thing I love, it says so much, just some grass and a plaque. No. 3 is of course a winner, I am sure the cat was reading as well.

    1. Thank you, Pat. Maybe I will take my flower picture out of the "exile" file. The cat is probably trying to read Tom's mind.

  2. Hi Benni !! Wow, I love all three of your shots for Pat's theme. The flower shot is just beautiful, the light is wonderful. Had to laugh at the second one....could be straight from the book 'Inappropriate Names For Your Job' LOL. Great shot of Honey seeking some attention :-))

    1. When I saw the sign in the second one, I thought it was a joke. But, as I say, it wasn't and she won. Thank you for your kind words on all three of mine. : )

    1. Oh, thank you, Debby. I fought and fought to try and get the light and composition. I wonder if people laugh when they enter Judge Lawless's court. And the kitty is the kitty.

  5. I like the color and glow of the vase, it works well with the flowers.
The sign made me smile, it's funny how sometimes peoples names relate to their career.
The last photo is priceless and precious too :)

    1. Thank you, Danette and you are right on people, careers and names. In my hometown there was a doctor Touthaker. He was a dentist.

  6. I like your choice of photos for the theme. The flower arrangement in the vase is lovely. There's a lot of detail in the flower petals.
The second shot is ironical. Judge Lawless!
Cats make an interesting subject. I think that they are the owners.
