Picture This #270 ~ Colors Of Fall
What a beautiful close up photo chosen for this week's banner. Congratulations Debby.
Autumn is speeding up here in New England. We are in the southern area of the region close to the sea. Our foliage season doesn't peak until the middle of October.
These are some of my photos taken from past autumns.

Beautiful banner photo of the swallow tail caterpillar Debby.
Sorry to disappoint, but autumn has not yet reached Switzerland. I can count the leaves that have fallen so far. We have sunny days at the moment and my rose decided to flower for the second time this year, so this is not a colour of autumn - taken this week.
My Sedum is flowering, one of my favourite plants in autumn. Also a photo from last week.
Some insects just make the most of autumn
And this blackbird seemed to be stocking up on food in my garden

Many thanks to Heidi for hosting this week's challenge. A lovely theme. It might officially be autumn now but here in the UK the weather is still definately summer-like, so I'm using photos from my archive.
1) Some leaves are still green in autumn, but you can see what time of year it is from the background colours.
2) Other leaves are already turning colour from green to gold, by way of yellow.
3) Here are the leaves in 'full autumn' mode!!
4) Autumn is a time for reflection......

Its been a great week, Mitch came to visit we had a great time. One day we took Mum out to Upton House to see the autumn colours in the gardens.

CONGRATULATIONS, NIK! LOVE TO SEE AGAIN YOUR BEAUTIFUL PHOTO!
Once, I heard a foreigner saying that one thing he liked in Portugal was to see people smiling often... perhaps he was right...

Hi all, I hope your all having a great weekend. Thanks for a fantastic Theme from Benni and Congrats to Nik on the header this week.
I have always enjoyed taking shots with something fairly close to the camera incorporated into a landscape shot, so for this weeks theme I have chosen shots of this type. I hope you enjoy them.

Many thanks to Benni for hosting this week. A really good theme, with lots of possibilities. I'm going to be away from home for the next week, visiting my folks for a couple of days, then moving on to visit Baz. We'll be spending a few days photographing some of the sights in his area. I'm not going to be online much, but will try to comment on everyone's posts when I can.
1) Ocelot. A shot I took this week at a local wildlife park.
2) Near (tree) and far (mountains) in one shot.
3) Cusimanse (Dwarf Mongoose). Another shot I took this week.
4) How far to the end of the road?
