Picture This #290 ~ Trees

Hi this is Benni from sunny Florida where we are having a cold spell. Today it is only 60ºF/16ºC, and all the native Floridians are running around in coats and hats but those of us from the north are just wearing light jackets.

I am hosting and my theme is 'Trees' (or bushes because sometimes it is hard to tell them apart). Trees are everywhere so I am sure you have some pictures with trees in them, alone, or possibly in the background of a castle or in a landscape or even on a city street.

Here are mine to get you started.

Egret

Hibiscus
Probably a hibiscus amidst jungly growth

Snow
Maples, lilacs and a Ginko tree

  1. Hi Benni !! Many thanks for hosting this week. Great theme, there should be lots of interesting entries. Love that first shot of all the red flowers surrounding the palm tree. Wonderful catch of the Egret perched in the trees by the water. Lovely hibiscus, I like the colour of that one. That last shot is really pretty to look at, but wouldn't want to be out in it!!! LOL. I'll take your word for what trees they are in that one, they all look the same covered in snow!! I'll be posting mine saturday morning.

  3. Love the pattern of the palm tree in the first shot and now you have made an unknown tree famous. I love hibiscus, such lovely colours and they arrive every year. Frosty trees are always very artistic.

  5. Hi Benni! Four different shots for the theme of your choice, yet I love all of them... Very beautiful composition in the first photo... Love the egret in the second...makes the photo lively... pretty hibiscus and good play with light.... snow sceneries always have a special charm ... Interesting how you know the names of the trees, though once they are covered with snow they look as if they were all of the same species..

    1. Thank you. :-) I know the trees in the snow picture because they are in my backyard.
