Picture This #292 ~ Patterns Or Textures

Hi everyone, this is Mitch. I'll be your host for this week. Just a few words before we start. The last three weeks we have only had six entries per theme (including my own), seemingly several further members are not taking part, at least on a regular basis. I'm not sure how long I can keep the group going with such a low turnout. So, can I please ask all members to try to take part more often. I appreciate that occasionally you might not have something for a particular theme, but let's not let this great group die through apathy.

This week's theme is 'Patterns Or Textures'. They can be natural or man-made. While all of mine are macros shots, they don't have to be macros. Let's see some interesting photos!!

1) Pattern of veins in a Red Maple leaf.

2) Patterns in frosted glass.

  2. Nature has a wonderful way with patterns as can be clearly seen in the super shots No. 1 and No. 3. Nice pattern on the glass I have decided not to squirt some washing up liquid around and see i I get such a good effect as you have.

  6. Hi Mitch! Wow the pattern of veins on the maple leaf is fascinating, both in color and texture. I also love the patterns in the glass photos, especially the delicate clear one, which has all kinds of colors when I look at it more closely. The leaves are great! Good theme and I hope we have lots of people putting up pix.

  7. Hi Mitch! Very beautiful captures for the theme of your choice. I particularly appreciate the variety of patterns, along with the very fine detail of all of them.
