Picture This #209 ~ The Photos That No-One Wanted

Picture This #209 ~ The Photos That No-One Wanted

Well at least not yet anyway. Some shots that I have not found a place for yet. Sorry for being at the last minute again. But summer is so fun, and getting it all together here lately has not seemed to work out so good for me. But that all changes today. Vacation time! Yeah. Looking forward to some fun.

First shot that no one would want is of a pile of rail road spikes. Saw this along the road, a couple weeks back as I was trying to get out and capture something interesting. Well my eyes just could not get the picture right and at least for me, I couldn't find a reason to want this shot.

Hay come on now, it could be even worse than that. Like this. Got a horse or two? LOL Here in eastern Washington we have some hay, and you will find it everywhere right now. This stack is small just so you know.

Now with my at the last minute thing here, this I think fits right in. Not like I am letting the grass grow beneath my feet, but thinking what is coming up in the shoes may become a problem if it reseeds itself.

Well that is my shot for now. Great photos everyone. I will be sitting back and checking them out as time allows. No I will make a point of it. Now on to greener pastures. Yahoo!

  1. You nailed it and then your making hay. Cool green shoes (garden variety of Elvis' song)

  2. Cool shots,Randall. My brother had quite a collection of these spikes when we were kids. We lived across the street for the rr in Hapeville, GA, so spent a lot of time exploring the tracks.

Hay! haven't seen squared bales in a long time. In Georgia they are all round!

Garlicky crocs! To keep the evil toe fungus away???

  3. Hi Randall !! Better late than never, I guess!! Three really intriguing shots for this theme. That's a big pile of iron in the first shot. I know what you mean, sometimes I look at a photo and think "why did I take that?". But all the same I'll often keep it, just in case. Love that second shot. The epitome of summer!! I haven't seen hay baled in squares for a long time. Here it's always in 'rolls'. Funny third shot!! I'd call that shot 'Garlic Cheese' LOL.

  4. Like your shots for the theme Randall. Now who leave a pile of railroad spikes there? I've never seen square bales of hay. They made quite a wall. I love the garlic bulb in the croc.

  5. The square shape, makes them better for shipping. We sell a lot to china, and abroad. THey stack very nice too.

  6. I would have stopped too to get a shot of those railroad spikes, I find them fascinating. I like your picture of them with the buttes in the background. I probably would have taken one if no one was looking. The colors in the hay picture are wonderful. The garlic in the croc shot is another interesting shot. The green of the garlic shoot is complements the green of the crocs nicely.

  8. I love your railway spikes. Just the sort of thing I would take a photo of. Very original and a good composition. The hay bales are intersting. It really seems that all over the world we have our own ideas how a hay bale should look. I love the clogs. I have the same in pink for work in the garden, but without the garlic. Usually they have clogged up profiles from dirt and mud.

  10. There the spikes for holding down the rail to the timbers. Not sure why they are all piled up like this though. I have collected some of my own. but I use them around the house for benches and things outside like that.
