PICTURE THIS #231 ~ FAVOURITE PHOTOS OF 2013

Time to thank you, Mitch, for having been governing this challenging boat, always with a great enthusiasm that spreads to all of us who regularly take part in this fantastic weekly photo challenge.

The following five photos (all taken in Portugal) are some of my favourites, though I can't justify by words why they are... It's always easier to explain why we don't like than why we like, isn't it?

    1. Thanks, Pat! Who knows? The stork does it, for sure. I had not expected to see so many storks as I did when I spent in the Algarve the 1st weekend of this month. I like storks!

    1. Yes, Anders, she is pretty but not a very good pupil, the reason why she needs private tuition. When I asked her permission to post the photo, she promptly said 'yes'. I think she liked my idea. I took her photo at hers' just before her leaving to a party to celebrate the conclusion of the compulsory education. Thanks for your comments.

  3. Hi Belita!! Many thanks for the kind words. Your shots for the theme are all wonderful. The girl in the first shot is very pretty. Great candid shot in the second photo, I wonder what the dog is looking at? Lovely shot of the girl riding the horse. Of course, the fourth shot should be no surprise, I knew there had to be a golf course in here somewhere!!! LOL. Beautiful shot of the stork!!

BTW......Flickr have made some changes to the coding of photos. As well as HTML, they have added I-Frames. When you select a photo you want to use and click on the icon 'more ways to share', there should be three little buttons marked 'Embed', 'HTML' and 'BBCode'. When they added 'Embed' (this is the option that uses I-Frames) all the codes defaulted to this option. Basically, when you embed an I-Frames code it embeds either the set the photo is in or even your entire photostream (you can tell by the little arrow to the left and right of each photo which you click on to go to the next photo). To change it back to HTML, go into any photo on Flickr, click on 'more ways to share' and when the code box opens, change the little code-selector button from 'Embed' to 'HTML'. That should default all of your photos back to HTML.

    1. Sorry, forgot to say, for the photos you have already posted here, you would need to edit the post, delete the 'Embed' codes and input the 'HTML' codes.

  8. All nice Belita. Great capture of the stork. Now that looks like the weather was just right for a day of golfing.

  9. The young lady in the first photo is very pretty! Love the way the painting contrasts with her beautiful complexion.

I love the flea market scene with the musician. I'd love to hear the tunes she plays. And the guy in the turban with such a HUGE smile on his face with the cute little dog no doubt waiting a bit impatiently to be on his way.

I love the capture of the sunlight in your photo of the horse and rider. The blue in er clothing and the people strolling down the path can't help but make it a more cheerful photo, making you think of a gorgeous blue sky overhead.

pretty shot of the golf course.

The stork is my favorite! Great shot!
