Many thanks to Anders for hosting this week. He's come up with a different theme, with lots of scope for variety!! I had fun thinking of photos for this one.
1) HISTORY ~ Castell Carreg Cennen
2) PHYSICS ~ Plasma ball
3) GEOLOGY ~ Bryce Canyon, Utah
4) BIOLOGY ~ Shield bug
Majestic cliff formation.
ReplyDeleteWow that is marvellous.
Beautiful mountain vista.
Cute little critter.
I don't think beautiful comes even close to describing Bryce Canyon!!
DeleteWONDERFUL MITCH -------great banner
ReplyDeleteThanks Heidi :-))
DeleteNice castle, steeped in history from the look of it. Nice effectful photo of the plasma ball and Bryce Canyon is certainly a perfect example for geology. Like the different shades of colour i the stone. Nice shield bug, looks like something we call a stink bug.
ReplyDeleteYes, the castle has a lot of history in the wars between the English and the Welsh. The shield bug is a relation of the stink-bug you refer to.
DeleteHi Mitch - a big WOW on your first picture. Straight out of Game of Thrones, haunting and mysterious. The plasma ball is fun and also mysterious as I have only a vague knowledge of what plasma is. Wonderful Bryce canyon and cute bug macro, as always well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks Benni :-)) I was lucky (I think!!) that day at the castle. I had hoped for blue skies and sunshine, but the dark storm clouds I got actually added a much better atmosphere. I got quite a few great shots that day, but this one is my fave.
DeleteSo romantic, that first shot!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of the plasma ball.
Bryce Canyon is just amazing!!!
That last shot of the stink bug is the BEST!
Thanks Debby :-)) Carreg Cennen has been voted as 'the most romantic historical site in Wales' . My little buggy friend says thanks for the compliment :-))
DeleteHi Mitch! Awesome shots, as always... Not easy to pick up a favourite... however, I like the top one very much, perhaps because History has always been a subject that I studied with pleasure...
ReplyDeleteThanks Belita :-))
DeleteGreat panoramic of the castle and Bryce Canyon. Tough to pick a favorite. They all match Ander's theme.
ReplyDeleteThanks Robert :-))
