  1. The first photo was taken yesterday at Governor's Island National Monument. Fort Jay looking toward Manhattan and One World Trade Center (Freedom Tower).

    The second photo is from The Morgan Library, NYC

    and the third photo is also from Governor's Island.

  3. Hi, Debby, as always 3 great shots of New York. Wonderful span of history in your first. The second is very creative and striking. And one of the books is "Five Little Peppers and How They Grew"; I read that as a kid and haven't thought about it in years. Lovely Red-eye Daisy!

  5. Hi Debby!! Three great shots for Anders' theme!! Wonderful selection of old books in the first shot. Excellent contrast between old and new in the second shot, also showing simultaneously two important periods of history. Beautifully mellow flower in the third shot.

  10. Belita, Literature/English was my favorite subject and then science, but I love history because of my dad. When we vacationed we would visit historical spots around Georgia and Florida.
