Picture This #261 ~ Stone Soup

What a fun theme, Debby!!

Panthercap mushroom
Panthercap Mushroom. Oops, poisonous, not good for the soup.

Stone crab claws
How about some stone crab claws? These are already cracked and ready for the pot. The fishermen cut one claw off the crab and throw it back, and the claw grows back.

Guacamole
Maybe someone would like some fresh guacamole to top a salad or on crackers. Mmmmm.....

  1. Beautiful shot of the mushroom! Glad you thought twice before adding it to the soup. I wouldn't know an edible one from a poisonous one.

Hmmm, crab claws! Tasty! Nice shot!

I LOVE guacamole! That looks yummy!

    1. Thanks, Debby. I love mushrooms, but can't eat any of the ones that grow in my yard. I do eat a lot of crab, though, not to mention guacamole.

  3. good selection, although I think I will leave the toadstool out, looks a bit dodgy to eat. Interesting crab mixture and the guacamole looks good, not things we find very often in Switzerland.

    1. Thanks Pat. Yup, the toadstool is very poisonous. The crabs are great, though.

  4. Hi Benni !! Great shots for this week's theme. That first shot is really good, but I think I'll get my mushrooms from the supermarket!! LOL. I really like the second shot, I love crab-meat!! The guacamole looks delicious!! Home-made? Break out the tortilla chips!!

    1. Thanks, Mitch. The guacamole is not home-made but the parsley masquerading as cilantro is home-grown.

    1. Thank you, Belita. Due to a wet spring, we had many lovely mushrooms, all poisonous, but all delightful to try to capture. Glad you liked this one.
