Photo Of The Week: MITCH
Hi Heidi !! Not so difficult, I think!! You managed to find three very good examples for the theme. I'd like to know where they were all taken. The first one looks familiar, is it in London? The ruins in the second shot are definately of classical Roman style. Beautiful cathedral in the third shot.
the first one is in Nimes,France a classical Roman Templethe second is at Delphi,Greece classical Greek Ruinsthe third is in Florence,Italy classical cathederal
Thanks Heidi. Shows how much I don't know!! LOL. I didn't realise there was such a well-preserved Roman temple in France!! There is a place in London, built in neo-classical Roman style, that looks similar to this. I thought the second one was Roman, too, but I guess some Greek and Roman structures can look similar.
I recognised the cathedral in Florence at once. I was there sometime in 1965 and have a photo somewhere of the original doors, before they got swept away by a flood. The other two photos are also very interesting
Truly excellent examples of classical architecture and beautiful facade in the last one.
very nice examples of classical, some great history too
Truly classical captures!!!I like the middle the most, I am thinking visit Greece this Autumn, maybe I will take a shot in the same spot. :)
No doubt... these are very classical, Heidi!
Loves them all Hedie.
Vast history within those shots. Gorgeous collection of classical buildings.

Terrific shots! I have been to the cathedral in Florence; would love to visit the others as well.
you sure do travel, Heidi. Lovely examples.
