Picture This #228 ~ Natural Or Urban Decay

Many thanks to Baz for hosting this week's challenge. His chosen theme is a little bit different, but something I think many of us have photos for. When I saw the theme I immediately thought of quite a few shots in my archive.

1) This end-wall is all that remains of Dan -Y-Coed, the birthplace of Welsh composer William Penfro Rowlands. It sits in the shadow of the Llys-Y-Fran dam.

2) I saw this ramshackle old building in the middle of nowhere while travelling through the Mojave National Preserve with Joanne.

3) I saw this old neglected farmhouse on a cold frosty winter's day, just outside the Welsh village of Llandeilo.

  2. Some lovely Welsh romantic there, especially the last one. I have never been to Wales, but Mr. Swiss toured around as an English student and loved it. second photo is very sad, but a good shot.

  5. Hi Mitch, great shots! I love the bottom one and would love a history of that little cottage and the people who called it home. Nice touch to take it on a frosty day.

  8. Mitch, these are a great collection of decay images. You included one ramshackled building from the USA with the photos of decay in Wales. I love the photo of the farmhouse set in the winter.

    1. Thanks Robert :-)) The 'wintery farmhouse' is a favourite of mine. I've been wanting to use it for some time, and finally got a theme that was appropriate!!
