PICTURE THIS #225 ~ PATTERNS IN NATURE

Glad to see you, Marianne, hosting this weekly Challenge!
Thanks, Mitch, for putting my quirky door as banner picture. I feel honoured...

The pattern of a pine cone is intriguing to me...
NATURE PATTERNS

I waited pretty long to capture the swallow peering over the edge of the nest, the pattern of which results from a beautiful design of 'architects' that have never attended any Fine Arts School.

  2. Nice header photo, Belita! I love the pine cones. I haven't seen a single pine cone in the woods at the park, but they actually sell them by the bag full at our grocery store to use for Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations.

The swallow is adorable. I'm so glad you had the patience to wait for him to peek out again.

Pretty patterns of movement in the water.

Wonderful composition in that last photo. Love it!

  3. Hi Belita!! Fantastic shots for this week's theme!! Excellent shot of the pine-cone, it almost reminds me of a dessert cone. LOL. Wonderful shot of the swallow peering out of his nest, such a cute face. Great water-patterns in the thirds shot. I really like the composition of the final shot. Coffee beans and cinnamon stick, I think?

  4. Darling Belita, your special signature shines through everyone of these special shots. Now you will have me practising pine cone shots all day. Your patience paid off the little one eventually got curious as to who was there. Is it not amazing that they just like that know how to build such an intricate nest just with mud and their saliva? Birds are amazing creatures, I never get tired of watching and observing them. They adapt to any situation and just simply work around man and make a new plan when we move into their world. Love love love the last composition. Is it time for a cuppa, yet?
