  3. Three great photos Mitch, but I am angry with my blue tit stealing the show. I told him to stay in my garden, but he just did not listen. Is the blue flower a cornflower? Wonderful details and love the lake view.

    1. Thanks Pat :-)). Those Blue-Tits are very cheeky and will go wherever there is seed offered. No, that flower isn't a Cornflower, I looked those up online and they are different.

After some research I have found the name of that flower. It's called 'Nigella Damascena', although apparently it has a popular name 'love in the mist'!!

    1. Thanks Danette :-)) My fave of the three is the Blue Tit. Since getting my current camera I've been doing a lot more bird photograph, thanks mainly to the ultra-zoom lens.

Thanks again for hosting, you did a great job, I think everyone really enjoyed your theme :-))

  6. The placid blue lake at Bosherston has a calming effect. So pretty!

I love the flower. My favorite subject here with the botanic garden so near! Not many blue flowers to photograph. I think they are very rare.

The bird shot is a real beauty! Just perfect!

    1. Thanks Debby :-)) Bosherston is a great place to photograph, I go there usually three or four times a year, it can look very different according to the season.

The flower, I've just discovered, is called 'Nigella Damascena' or commonly 'love in the mist'. You're right about blue flowers being the rarest colour.

That cheeky little bird is my fave of the three :-))

    1. Many thanks, Sue :-)) That's one of my favourite flowers, mainly because it's so different in shape and colour to most others.

  9. A mirror pool - so calming! And you've done such a good job capturing that little blue tit. And then the middle flower - wow - with the orange in the background. Great shots all.

    1. Thanks Benni :-)) That Blue-Tit was waving around in the breeze on that branch, I had to wait for a while to get the perfect moment of capture. Thankfully he stayed there for quite some time.

  12. Mitch, the photo of the blue tit is the best of the three. I love how the background is blurred. The exposure is wonderful. The blue flower is beautiful. The scene of the lake is tranquil. Nicely done.

  13. Lovely blue captures all , Mitch. Every time I look at your Blue Tit, I laugh at my Michelle. They have the common Blue Wax bill in Bulawayo, but all the Rhodies (ex-brits) call them Blue Tit's so she did too. Took me 5 min and my Robertson Bird book to prove her wrong, much to her disgust. LOL
