  1. 3 lovely photos Mitch. Like the lighting effect you have on the photos. Lovely pampas shots and the colours of the water surrounding the swan are lovely You won't get any sunrise shots from me as I am still in bed usually.

    1. Thanks Pat. You'll notice all of mine were late afternoon shots. I'm rarely up early enough to get sunrise shots, too!! LOL.

  4. As usual, your pictures are a delight ... the afternoon grasses has to be my favorite ... so much so I could actually frame it and have it on my wall!!! Great collection Mitch!

    1. Thanks Lynne :-)) Pampas grasses make excellent subjects for backlighting shots, I've captured them several times, but this is the best one, I think.

  5. How your first picture reminds me of the delicate light of a Michigan morning. So nicely done; I can see the clouds moving over the sun. The swan is shimmering and you have captured the light of the late afternoon in the grasses.

    1. Thanks Benni :-)) The 'clouds moving over the sun' is what I was trying to capture, but the first few shots I took, just of the sky, looked too featureless. I needed something in the foreground to 'anchor' the shot, hence the silhouetted grass stalks.

  6. I love the capture of the swan in that warm light. The grasses with back-lighting is fantastic. Nice capture of the sky in the first photo.

  7. a great variety of shots, the bottom really speaks to me...I like the warmth of the swan photo and the top is a perfect winter shot (at least it reminds me of winter)

    1. Thanks Danette. Funny thing is, the second and third shots were taken January but the first one was taken in March, but looks more winter-like :-))

  9. I agree with Lynda Mitch. I like the last one the best.

I wonder how I missed this one yesterday when I commented on the others???
I know I am very tired and sore from throwing up most of the time but; no excuse!

I am making doubly sure today. LOL

  10. Three great shots, as always, Mitch! Love the 'shy' moon in the first... the swan sliding through the golden water is beautiful... the late afternoon light make those grasses look like silver made...
