  2. Thanks, Pat. We are trying our best to keep the exploiters from tearing them and building glass and concrete monsters. The village north of us has fought tooth and nails from being subjected to a highrise in the middle of the place.

  3. Hi Anders. Three great photos for Heidi's theme!! As you know, I lived in Sweden for a while, so am familiar with traditional Swedish buildings. I love all three of these!! Do you know anything of the history of these particular ones?

  6. Its amazing how different the architecture is in each country/area. Love the middle shot ... something special about a thatched roof!! Great photo's all of them.

  10. *sigh* exactly like the small old village I grew up in , the church there had a sign on saying anno 918 .....here in south africa the oldest you will find is around 1800 and they are rare. those old houses should be preserved as National Heritage pieces, for sure. Lovely shots, Anders.
